100-Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Device

Canoga Perkins has announced the Cloudbuster network interface device (NID), the industry’s first 100-Gb Ethernet NID, which is designed to handle explosive traffic growth in data centers, mobile backhaul, and other business and wholesale service applications. The NID supports standard CXP and CFP 100-Gb optic modules on the user and network ports and offers full 100 Gb/s wireline speeds with all EVC and OAM functions active. This NID will service cloud computing services, giving more control and diagnostic tools than traditional wavelength services. The device uses energy-efficient, state-of-the-art components.
