In Dallas on Nov. 18, Nokia, AT&T and Jaunt provided a mobile content and immersive experience with a 5G demonstration and tailgate party before the Atlanta Falcons faced off against the Dallas Cowboys.
Nokia’s 5G system and Jaunt’s XR Cast, a volumetric capture and live-streaming technology, allowed fans to capture their own 3D augmented reality holograms of their TD celebration dances, view them in real-time and share them on social media.
The 5G mmWave system was powered by the Nokia AirScale baseband and radio at the 28 GHz band, connected to the Intel 5G Mobile Trial Platform. Combined with Nokia’s AirFrame data center platform, the system transmitted data at gigabit speeds.
