Exalt Communications is offering the ExpandAir, point-to-multipoint (PMP) platform. The first system available is a sub-6 GHz non-line-of-sight offering based on eMIMO technology, which brings performance, reliability and security to a new level for value-priced point-to-multipoint microwave backhaul, accelerates deployment time, and reduces infrastructure costs. Its high capacity, optimal spectrum management, and guaranteed subscriber bandwidth at the lowest cost per bit, are optimized for applications including 4G/LTE small-cell backhaul, Wi-Fi hotspots and rural broadband. The system consists of a small, zero-footprint, environmentally friendly, and easy-to-deploy backhaul base station and subscriber units. The backhaul base station supports sub-6 GHz frequency bands and delivers up to 250 Mbps per sector to transport voice, data and HD video over a single unit, saving tower space, simplifying maintenance, and reducing total cost of ownership.
