May 19, 2016 — SQUAN, a macrocell, small cell and DAS infrastructure services provider, acquired the assets of Strong Tower Communications this week, which strengthens SQUAN’s presence in the Southeast with macro site services including new builds, fiber delivery and testing, maintenance, and wireless program management.
The purchase of Strong Tower is SQUAN’s second acquisition in 2016. In May, it bought Osmose Communications Services (OCS), which provides fiber-optic transport engineering, outside plant delivery and fiber-optic delivery management.
“SQUAN has had a long-standing relationship with Strong,” Leighton Carroll, SQUAN CEO said. “We respect both their leadership and their team’s ability to cover the Southeast and deliver with quality. This acquisition allows us to strengthen our capabilities, building upon our recent acquisition of Osmose Communications Services.”
Over the next few months, the Strong Tower brand will transition to SQUAN and the team will continue to function from its office in Acworth, Georgia. Josh Ward will continue to lead the organization.
Adding Strong Tower’s wireless antenna and line crews to its Southeast presence will expand the number of projects SQUAN will be able to cover for its clients.
